The “Datscha” (dacha) is a country house or holiday home, it can be as small as an allotment or as grand as a villa. The constitution of the Soviet Union, granted its citizens the right to rest and leisure. To this day many Russians who live in the major cities exercise this right: they go to the dacha. At the time of the Soviet Union the dacha—the cottage in the green—was the very personal dream of happiness for most Russians: There weren’t any trips abroad. On the dacha one could relax from the big city life, from work or university stress and was able to choose one's favourite activities, carry them out for as long as one wishes to, and share them with friends and family. Dacha, in this sense, is also the lifestyle of its owners. Russian home-made food for friends.
Super good brunches and breakfasts. Remember to book in advance. Nice discovery 🤍
Great service, delicious food, great atmosphere 🙃
Very good Russia influenced food in modern serving
I was there a few months ago and completely satisfied! Great, exceptional food, fair prices, nice staff and a very good Corona hygiene concept with partitions between the tables. Thumbs up!
I’ve been there twice, first time the place itself didn’t convince me but I have to say it was over one year ago and also my really first approach to Russian kitchen. After a while I gave it a second chance, and I fell in love w everything. Definitely worth a visit (or more). I’d give 5 stars if it wasn’t for a very rude waitress.
13.50 for a bowl with 80% salad 15% meat and 5% sauce/dip Was okay
Of all three dachas, this one is the neutral one. The food comes in a reasonable time, the service is moderately friendly, and the food is tasty. What I think of the other two can be read.
The noodles were too expensive.
High quality food
I've been here several times, you can have a very good breakfast, many different offers and plenty, as well as other dishes. Everything tastes very delicious 👍 the staff are very friendly and nice. I can only recommend the cafe.
Tasty food, however Blini portion was a bit on the small side
Taste is ok but its kind of expensive. They try to make the portions look big with a salad, but they are actually small.
I love this place because the ingredients are fresh, the combinations are feel good and there are so many healthy options. Something for any kind of hunger, lovely drinks too
Workers breakfast, tasty, but the platter has become smaller than we know it, so I have to deduct a point, always a pleasure in terms of taste.
Their blinis and salads are out of this world. A bit on the side expensive, but it is worth the occasional indulgence.
We ordered Boris Pasternak and it was amazing! Every little thing in this plate is more than delicious. All fresh and tasty. Will visit again and try other things.
We went to Friedrichshain on the spur of the moment and got a table straight away. Order was quick, food came quickly. It tastes really great and is very versatile, with and without meat. The staff is friendly and helps with questions. Sitting outside is okay, despite the traffic. The prices are absolutely good. Reasonable with good quality. We are happy and full, but not "over-eaten".
Nice decor, food is great prices are fair. They brought our order to another customer. It took a while for our order to be replaced.
delicious, try the soviet coke
Not that great. Food was okay but portions are tiny and relatively pricey for what you get, this is especially true for the breakfast options and the dumplings. Wouldn't recommend.
It's been a while since I've eaten so delicious. Sufficient seating outside and inside available. A reservation is certainly always advisable. Friendly waiters with fast service round off the good rating. What the farmer doesn't know has to be tried here.
Restaurant with soothing decor, smooth and fast service. The main course that I tasted made with pieces of beef with mushroom sauce accompanied by its potato pancakes was delicious. However, I found the quantity a bit tight and the price a bit steep. No regrets though.
Definitely not what I expected when I went out for a russian restaurant. Blew my expectations.
Was great!
Lost it’s edge I’ve been visiting Datscha for years, and it’s been definitely one of my favorite spots in Berlin. I’ve brought family and many friends here because I wanted to show them how cool the place is. Unfortunately, after my last visits I have to say that Datscha is no longer as good as it used to be — the food is just not that good anymore (I’m Russian, so I can tell when my pelmeni and borschtsch aren’t great); the service is disinterested and the whole atmosphere is just bland. The Datscha in Friedrichshain needs a revamp — rethink, reevaluate, regroup and reopen its doors again for the visitors. As for now, I can’t give it more than 3 stars and it breaks my heart.
Very good home made Pelmeni. Probably best in Berlin.
Good taste, the presentation is out of the ordinary, balanced, very cozy, it's great for a celebration breakfast or if you want something delicious at the weekend. The prices are good, of course, it's not something for every day.
Great location and friendly service but small portions, considering the costs. The Aperol Spritz was very light, small and with too much ice cubes.
I've been a regular guest over the past few years. Over the years the portions have gotten smaller & components are left out. The food is good, but somehow, in my opinion, the price-performance ratio is no longer right. It now also looks very touristy. After my last visit, I decided that I would give priority to other locations in the future.
Overpriced breakfast for the quality-price. Better for lunch or cocktails. I went there for breakfast and asked for the Vegetarian option. To my surprise it was nothing else than some sauces with raw vegetables. The price was 9€, totally overpriced. Service very nice and attentive. I also asked for a cappuccino that was not too good prepared (barely foam and no milk). Maybe better for lunch or cocktails.
Very tasty food ! Really nice place
The breakfast and the bowls are very tasty and always beautifully presented. The service is unfortunately too slow - it often takes a long time before a waiter shows up (at least if you are sitting outside). Otherwise recommendable.
I've known the dacha for a number of years. Also the shop on Rosenthaler Platz (Gorki Park). I noticed that the quality of service decreased and the prices increased. I remember the staff being friendly and helpful. They also spoke Russian. In the meantime, the restaurant has adopted a flatter concept. There is hardly any unique selling proposition to the other shops in the area.
Lots of great food. You'll leave happy.
Amazing breakfast
Nice place, tasty food and good prices
We were there for breakfast and the food was very, very tasty. There are a few vegan dishes as well as vegetarian dishes that are very easy to veganize. The food is presented very nicely.
Tasty some food, little bit expensive if compare with other restaurants, small size, from 3 item best was борщ
Really really excellent. Delicious food, friendly service. And look how nice they served it.
If you crave Russian food in Fhain it’s the best place to go. The food is generally really good, but the syrniki are not that great (my fav brekkie food). They’re pretty flat and heavy and not as fluffy and yummy as you could get them in Russia. The service is also pretty slow so prepare for that.
Very nice location. I went to the one in Warschauer. Great service and very friendly people. The food comes to the table only minutes after it is ordered. The food was very tasty and very nicely arranged. Definitely recommend this place for dinner. Also, you should try the local Russian drinks, very fruity and refreshing.
Great food, just a little bit to pricey. Staff was nice, competent and ready to help. I will be back, pierogi- amazing!
Original food and drink selection - Russian fare (I guess, I’m no expert) with a twist. Surprisingly roomy as well, which is a plus in this area. Staff could be a bit more attentive and friendly though. Nevertheless I’ll probably visit again!
Amazing Drinks, gorgeous food and retro atmosphere.
Super delicious Russian food! No rough home cooking, but fine and wonderfully put together dishes. Have been here many times and are always convinced of the quality of the dishes, even if the portions could be larger. Suggestions for improvement: Unfortunately, the service is always very slow and you have to wait a long time for the waitress to arrive.
Very tasty food but the waitress is behaving like totally doesn’t care. She would rather pat a dog and not wash hands than bring the check after 20 min.
I love Russian food and especially pelmeni, so it was a quick decision for me on what to order and they did not disappoint. Their were plump and flavoursome. My foodie date had the special set lunch. Brilliant value for 10 euros (rounded up). Came with a soup (cold cucumber-I loved, my foodie date wasn’t quite sold) fish (unfortunately very overcooked-potentially frozen hard to tell when it was so destroyed) side salad (hallo flavour) and dessert (little muffin- fluffy and yummy). We also ordered the little rolled crapes with salmon. Lots of great flavours but the salmon again not a stand out. Perhaps Fish just isn’t the Chefs thing? Overall not a bad spot and would come back for a pelmeni craving, but more a passing by place then a destination.
Been multiple times and everything is always delicious and presented nicely. The best scrambled eggs I've found.
I wasn't familiar with Russian foods but all we ordered tasted really good. I loved this sesami-salmon bowls!
Service..
